About the Author
Tonya Celeste Hobbs is delighted to introduce her first children's chapter book, Ruby and the Treasure Within. She resides in Knoxville, Tennessee, with her husband and three children, and actively volunteers in multiple ways at her children's school and home church. Throughout her own life's experiences, Ms. Hobbs has discovered many treasures of truth that she hopes to share as The Ruby Treasure Series unfolds.
From the day Hannah Warrick took a Book Art class in third grade, she knew that she wanted to become a writer and a children's book illustrator. As a kid, her free time was mostly spent either reading chapter books or doodling in her sketchbook. As she got older, nothing really changed. She chose to get her Bachelor's Degree in English from Samford University with a minor in Visual Arts so that she could pursue her dreams of becoming a writer and illustrator. That dream has come true!
Lisa Soland comes to the literary world as a renowned playwright with over 60 publications by Samuel French, Inc., Smith and Kraus, Applause Books, and Dramatic Publishing. Her children's books include Thump, Somebunny to Love, The Truth About God's Rainbow, The Boy and The Bagel Necklace, and God's Hands and Feet. Her Christmas books, The Unmade Moose and The Christmas Tree Angel have become an annual reading tradition for many families. Ms. Soland teaches playwriting at Maryville College and enjoys traveling the United States leading various writing workshops.
